Look what I made!!!

I have been eyeing some plans over at ana-white.com for over a year and finally I told Phil that I wanted to build something this weekend... The kids were really excited when I told them I would be making them a table for outside. It is the toddler picnic bench. It seats up to 4 small children. I didn't realize how small it was going to be until the table top pieces were all cut. The length of the boards is only 31 inches!!! That is all! Anyway, here is my final result! Not perfect!!! One of the legs is off. Not sure how that happened? Phil did help with the cutting :)
Overall I am happy with my weekend project and I can't wait to try something else!!! Maybe an adult size table for my backyard! It would be nice to finally have somewhere to sit other then the steps...

Here are a couple of my favorites from todays session! Hope they have a lot of fun tonight!

2nd soccer game review in pictures!

Sullivan completely missed the ball and fell. He is still cute though. Next time!
Here is Drezden taking the ball to the goal!
I just love the looks on their faces as they are running after the ball!
 Notice my daughter picking flowers?
 Half time!
 Snack Time!
Going over which goal is theirs!
 Good Game White Team!

Emmett

Emmett fell down on the concrete after running too fast. Cute kid! I feel bad every time I look at him. Looks painful! Can't resist those baby blues!

Swim Lessons

I was able to get at least one short video of the kids during their swim lessons. I should have been taking pictures of them all along! Anyway... good news! They passed level 1 preschool! haha! They spent most of their swim lessons sitting on the steps in the pool listening to what the instructors had to say... But do 3 and 4 yr olds really listen that well? Honestly they seemed bored for most of the 8 classes they attended. But now I have a piece of paper that says they can do things like:
open their eyes under water, enter and exit the pool using ladders and steps, float on there backs for 3 seconds, blowing bubbles through mouth and nose for 3 seconds, and a few others that are required to pass level 1 preschool. I haven't decided what I am going to do about the next session of swim lessons.. I may just sign them up for private lessons even though they are a bit more pricey, but they would get a lot more one on one time! I think it would be kind of fun to have my kids on the swim team.
Anyway, here is one short video I was able to get of them as they were headed into the little pool to play. Notice that Sullivan tends to be a little obnoxious! Yeah, he was like that the whole time, what a crazy kid...

Emmett(19 months old) Eating Licorice

I was going through my phone trying to get some pictures of the kids during their swim lessons and I came across this fun video Emmett made of himself... I couldn't stop laughing!!! So unflattering! Don't you just love 19 month old baby boys!?! hahahahaha

Doing a Self Portrait challenge... These are some of my favorites from the night. Trying to be creative, but this is the best I could come up with at 11pm at night...

Drezden and Sullivan playing soccer

First Soccer Game of the Season!

April

Can you believe April is already halfway over? I can't! It seems like it was just January! Anyway, Philip had a birthday on the 5th! His big 3-0! Yes, I am officially married to an old man! Ha! Just kidding! He's not old yet...
For some reason I have always viewed age 30 as being officially an adult. No more screwing around, figuring things out. Time to move on up in the world and be an adult! Of course people have their own ideas of what 30 brings, but that is just how I have viewed 30... I still have 3.5 yrs till my own 30th and I am sure my thoughts about 30 will change!
Anyway, I just wanted to share some photos of my cute kids!

Here is Sullivan holding my lens cover... Love my Canon 50D

Sullivan got really excited when I pulled out the camera and asked me to take his photo holding this toy bug! He never asks me to take his picture, so I jumped on the chance!

Emmett was standing with his back facing me, and he turned and stuck out his tongue at me and I was able to get this shot of him!

Drezden went to a play date at her 2nd cousins home and came home and slept for the rest of the day. She is my sleeping beauty!

I just am loving her shoes. Phil got the movie Wizard of Oz for his birthday so we could show Drezden Dorothy's Ruby slippers. "There is no place like home."

Saturday April 14

I have been up since 5:30am. I was suppose to meet up with a friend and attempt a 10 mile run. Well, it ended up not working out... It is cold, and it is rainy! BRRR!!! I should still get myself to the gym and do some sort of workout since I am all ready to go! The kids are suppose to have their first soccer game today, but I am kinda hoping since it is so cold that the game will be cancelled. They are preschoolers after all... and no one expects preschoolers to have to play in such crummy weather. Well, I don't! :)

Good News: Jared(My twin) is a FREE MAN!!! I am so excited for him to start his life!!! Meet nice girls, get a good job, and just be happy! He is with my sister Kiersten. It is so nice that she took him in. My Aunt Jerry has been a big support to him too. He has all the right people(who love him dearly and want the best for him) in his life right now to help him become successful! Here is a pic of Jared(on the left) and my Aunt Jerry(on the far right)

It's been a while...

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and Spring Break!!! We certainly enjoyed our break!
On Monday Drezden and Sullivan started swim lessons! They love it! I am hoping that they will be more comfortable with the water by summertime and what would even be better is if they actually swam!!! I may enroll them in a couple more swim lessons throughout the year. They also are both playing soccer on the same team! There first game will be this Saturday assuming weather permits. It has been a rainy last couple of days here in Tooele Utah. I will update more later!
Here are some updated pics of the kids.
